Christopher Patrinos
Director, ʻŌlino Pathways – Technology
Christopher George Kekoa Patrinos is the Director of ʻŌlino Pathways Technology at Liliʻuokalani Center.
Before joining LT, Chris served as an Assistant Professor of Theatrical Design at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa; an Assistant Professor of Performing Arts at Chaminade University of Honolulu; and the Theatre Technical Director at Punahou School.
Chris is an award-winning director, designer, and performer. His production management credits include national touring productions of River Dance, Stomp, Shaolin Warriors, Lion King, Slava Snow Show, and A Prairie Home Companion. His commercial and corporate production credits include the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, the Climate Change Conference featuring Vice President Al Gore, Nike Corp., the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, the American Geophysical Union, Asian Development Bank, and the Professional Convention Management Association.
Chris has an MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Historical Studies from Chaminade University of Honolulu.
He would not be where he is today without the support of his family. When Chris is not in the theatre, he is a proud volleyball Dad and a staunch supporter of his alma mater and UH Athletics. Go Bows!
Travis Flazer

Travis Flazer is the Manager of Event Technology at Liliʻuokalani Center. He was born and raised in Waikiki to a Hawaiian/Chinese mother and Podagee father. He brings over two decades of Educational Theatre and Technical Theatre experience to the center, having worked at Punahou School as their theatre’s Assistant Technical Director for 25 years.. He is honored to continue the Queen’s legacy and work with kamaliʻi in the realm of the performing arts.
In his free time, Travis owns a local curiosity & vintage shop in Chinatown, Honolulu called Hound & Quail on Nuuanu Ave. He enjoys horror movies, skincare, and caring for baby birds.
Cody Franz

Audio/Visual Technician
Cody Franz is the Audio and Visual Technician at Liliʻuokalani Center. Born and raised just outside of Houston, TX, Cody discovered his love of music at a young age while riding tractors with his dad. That spark turned into more than a decade-long AV career, including work at two world-class studios in Houston alongside Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated artists such as J. Cole, Anderson .Paak, Ludacris, Megan Thee Stallion, and Khruangbin.
He has mixed for numerous houses of worship and shared his craft in the classroom at The Art Institute and Avant Media Institute. Since relocating to Oʻahu in 2023 with his wife, Cody continues to channel that same curiosity and creativity into every project. Away from his professional work, he finds joy in music, time outdoors, traveling, and the constant pursuit of knowledge. He feels honored to support work that uplifts the community and celebrates Queen Liliʻuokalani’s legacy.

Kirk Mendoza
Maker Space Manager
Kirk Mendoza is the Maker Space Manager at Liliʻuokalani Trust. He is a mechanical engineer and designer who has a passion for educating youth through hands-on learning and making. Kirk is coming from a background working in spaces ranging from makerspaces, museums, and art studios to department of energy research labs and machine shops. From all of these experiences, he sees the power of technology and making, as a way to spark excitement and confidence in youth to help them realize their potential.
Kirk is extremely grateful and honored for the opportunity to work with the Trust to carry on the Queen’s legacy and help enable youth design and make anything they can dream. Kirk holds a master’s degree in Design from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
