Christopher Patrinos
Director, Technology
Christopher George Kekoa Patrinos is the Director of Technology at Liliʻuokalani Center.
Before joining LT, Chris served as an Assistant Professor of Theatrical Design at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa; an Assistant Professor of Performing Arts at Chaminade University of Honolulu; and the Theatre Technical Director at Punahou School.
Chris is an award-winning director, designer, and performer. His production management credits include national touring productions of River Dance, Stomp, Shaolin Warriors, Lion King, Slava Snow Show, and A Prairie Home Companion. His commercial and corporate production credits include the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, the Climate Change Conference featuring Vice President Al Gore, Nike Corp., the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, the American Geophysical Union, Asian Development Bank, and the Professional Convention Management Association.
Chris has an MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Historical Studies from Chaminade University of Honolulu.
He would not be where he is today without the support of his family. When Chris is not in the theatre, he is a proud volleyball Dad and a staunch supporter of his alma mater and UH Athletics. Go Bows!

‘Ōlino Pathways – Youth Engagement Specialist (Technology)
Masen Luke is a Youth Engagement Specialist at the Liliʻuokalani Center, where he supports youth programming and technical learning opportunities within the Center’s creative and e-sports spaces. A graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Masen is currently pursuing a degree in Communication at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, with a focus on media and technology.
Masen’s involvement in e-sports and digital media began through his interest in competitive gaming and content creation. Over time, this passion expanded into work supporting e-sports programs, research initiatives, and media projects. At UH Mānoa, he contributes to the university’s e-sports program through content creation, program support, and research collaborations focused on the development of scholastic and collegiate e-sports.
Masen hopes to help expand opportunities that connect youth in Hawaiʻi to technology, creative industries, and the growing world of e-sports, perpetuating the legacy of Queen Liliʻuokalani.

eSports Coach
Jake Shiraki is an E-sports Coach at Liliʻuokalani Center. Raised in Waimea on Hawaiʻi Island, he brings over a decade of experience in engineering, coaching, and competitive gaming. A licensed engineer with the Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation Airports, Jake has worked in the engineering and contracting field for the past 12 years. While his professional expertise is grounded in engineering, his true passion has long been E-sports—particularly League of Legends.
Jake’s journey into gaming began in 2011 while studying at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. What started as a casual interest quickly developed into a lifelong passion for E-sports. After moving to Oʻahu in 2016, Jake found a way to combine his love of gaming with mentorship. For the past five years, he has served as a volunteer League of Legends coach at ʻIolani School, helping students grow not only as players but also as teammates and leaders. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, communication, and adaptability—skills that resonate both in and out of the game.
Through his blend of technical expertise, coaching experience, and lifelong passion for gaming, Jake looks forward to building an esports program at the Liliʻuokalani Center that inspires students, connects communities, and celebrates the competitive spirit of gaming.
