Adulting 101
Getting ready to live on your own? You’ll learn how to budget, manage your health, and build life skills that support independence. From financial basics to self-care, this program helps you prepare for what’s next. No need to have it all figured out, we’ll walk with you. Ages: 16-24
Imi Ola: Job Skills
Sharpen your skills for the workplace. Each week, you’ll focus on key soft and hard skills—from communication to tech tools. Build confidence and earn a certificate from Liliʻuokalani Center when you finish. No need to be an expert, just come ready to grow. Ages: 16-24
Imi Ola: Tech Skills
Build tech skills for the workplace. You’ll learn how to use laptops, search the internet, send emails, and work with Office 365 and Google suite. Gain confidence in digital basics and beyond. No need to be tech-savvy, we’ll help you get there. Ages: 16-24

Todd Wilson
Director, Life Readiness
Todd Wilson is the Director of Life Readiness at Liliʻuokalani Center and has worked his entire career in education design and program management.
Most recently at the Hawaiʻi Department of Health, he advised on federal grant projects transitioning from COVID-19 restrictions to developing school and student health networks. Previously, as a consultant, Todd designed professional development systems to transition the Department of Defense Education Agency and Hawaiʻi Department of Education to the Common Core Standards, supporting agency-wide changes focused on performance data and instructional design. Before these large projects, he led youth-focused environmental programs in California and New Mexico, along with summer programs focused on wilderness, sustainability, and global dialogue. He has worked at public, independent, and charter schools and started as a writing teacher in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, a placement through Teach For America.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Grand Valley State University and his Master of Arts in Liberal Arts and Education from St. John’s College.

Shaaroni Wong

Born and raised in the ua tuahine of Mānoa Valley, Shaaroni has lived and traveled around the world, learning from and with educators and youth on five continents in roles ranging from teacher to humanitarian clown.
Shaaroni joins the Trust after finishing her PhD in Sociology at the University of Cambridge in England, where she focused on Indigenous women’s stories. She has 10 years of experience teaching, with a specialty of working with the Deaf and students with learning disabilities. Shaaroni deeply believes that all kamaliʻi have the ability and kuleana to tell their own stories and define what success looks like to them. She is committed to supporting kamaliʻi on their journeys with the knowledge that the path to finding ourselves is rarely simple or straight.
In her spare time, Shaaroni enjoys horseback riding, traveling, dancing, writing, getting muddy in the loʻi, and creating chaos with her family.
