What We Offer
At Liliʻuokalani Center, our Fall Break programs are designed to spark curiosity, build skills, and celebrate culture. Whether you’re stepping onto the stage, designing your own fashion brand, cooking with ancestral ingredients, or exploring conservation through technology, each pathway offers hands-on experiences that empower you to learn, lead, and express yourselves. With small group sizes and supportive mentors, you’ll dive deep into your passions and walk away with new knowledge, friendships, and a sense of pride in your growth.

Fall Break Programs
Explore the roots of Hawai‘i’s food traditions in this Culinary pathway for youth ages 14–17. Learn about Kūpuna Crops—plants cherished for their cultural and nutritional value—and cook with local ingredients using both traditional and modern techniques. Connect with the flavors, stories, and wisdom of Hawai‘i’s ancestors in this hands-on experience.

Turn your fashion ideas into reality in this hands-on bootcamp-style program for youth ages 14–17. Learn everything from product design and sewing to branding and heat pressing. Define your style, voice, and visual identity while building a clothing brand that stands out.

Discover the story of the native Hawaiian land snail (Kāhuli) in this immersive Technology pathway for youth ages 12–14. Through hands-on digital fabrication, visits to Mount Kaʻala and Bishop Museum, and creative projects like 3D modeling and lei-making, you’ll connect with Hawaiian culture and conservation. Led by LC Technology, this workshop empowers you to be a steward of the land and its stories.

Step into the spotlight with Kahua Keaka! This Theater pathway invites youth ages 12–14 to explore the art of performance through games, scene work, and character creation. Build confidence, boost your stage presence, and unleash your creativity in a fun, supportive space. By the end of the week, you’ll take the stage in a showcase that celebrates everything you’ve learned.

Get ready to build, create, and innovate! Tinker Camp is a mashup of art and engineering for youth ages 12–14. Dive into moving sculptures, LEGO design battles, and the wild world of AR art. Each day brings new tools, bold ideas, and fearless experimentation. Work in teams, solve problems, and end the week with a showcase of your creations.
