Muʻu & Moʻolelo

This is where history, culture, and creativity come together in a safe and supportive space guided by caring adults. Kamalei explore the evolution of Hawaiian dress through powerful photography and hands on making.

Kamalei study historically and culturally significant images, learn about textiles, and practice the art of muʻu making from concept to completion. Culture, history, and identity are woven into every stitch in a consistent environment that values care and curiosity.

You will design, sew, photograph your work, meet new people, and leave with one completed Muʻumuʻu and a series of images documenting your creation.

Kamalei grow creative skills, cultural connection, and confidence while finding belonging through community, good vibes, and shared making.
