Discover the art of guitar and unlock your creative expression. This program is designed for high school students ages 15–17 who want to explore music in a fun, supportive environment.
You’ll learn foundational guitar skills, basic music theory, and practice techniques through guided lessons and hands-on activities. Each session helps you build confidence, discipline, and creativity while expressing yourself through music.
In a collaborative space, you’ll grow individually and as part of a group, developing skills that go beyond music into academic and personal success. Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to strengthen your skills, this program welcomes you.

Born and raised in tranquil Pauoa Valley, O‘ahu, Zanuck Kapala Lindsey has been a professional musician, bandleader, teacher, composer, arranger, producer, and contractor for over 40 years.
As a music educator, Zanuck travels the world teaching music through the ʻukulele and guitar. He has worked with acclaimed ʻukulele masters Kimo Hussey, Daniel Ho, Herb Ohta, Jr., James Hill, Jake Shimabukuro, Benny Chong, Byron Yasui, and Bryan Tolentino. He currently serves as full-time kumu (teacher) for the Kamehameha Schools Kapālama high school guitar and ‘ukulele department in Honolulu, Hawai‘i.
Zanuck has shared the stage with Tony Bennett, Chaka Khan, The Doobie Brothers, Bon Jovi, Huey Lewis & the News, Santana, Isaac Hayes, Kalapana, Cecilio & Kapono, KAPALA, Willie K, Na Leo, Napua Greig, Raiatea Helm, Nā Palapalai, Amy Hanai‘ali‘i Gilliom, Fiji, and Josh Tatofi, just to name a few.
