This ʻukulele program brings Kamalei together to play, listen, and create in a safe and supportive space filled with rhythm and aloha. Music becomes a way to connect, express, and belong.
Kamalei learn strumming, rhythm, and mele through hands on practice and group music making guided by caring adults and trusted mentors. Sessions are welcoming and engaging, whether you are picking up an ʻukulele for the first time or building on skills you already have.
You will play alongside others, learn songs together, try new techniques, and meet new people while finding your sound and your confidence.
Kamalei strengthen listening, collaboration, discipline, and creativity while making music together in a consistent environment that celebrates shared ʻike and joy.

Time: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Start Date: 9/14/26
End Date: 11/30/26
Enrollment required: Enroll in advance, with a set start and end, and regular participation is encouraged throughout the program.
*All are welcome to apply with preference given to Native Hawaiian Kamalei.
