This is where rhythm becomes your own signature and ideas turn into tracks you can actually play back. A supportive space where creativity is loud and mistakes are part of the process.
Beat Lab brings Kamalei into music production through beat-making, rhythm, sampling, and sound design using digital tools and hands-on experimentation. Kamalei create original tracks while building creativity, collaboration, and confidence in a consistent environment with caring adults.
You will experiment with sounds, build beats with others, meet new people, and share what you make in real time. You can create music that feels innovative and personally meaningful while exploring cultural rhythm and sound along the way.
Through guided projects and collaborative sessions, Kamalei build technical skills, musicality, and self-expression while finding a sense of belonging through a shared creative process.

Time: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

End Date: 12/2/26
Enrollment required: Enroll in advance, with a set start and end, and regular participation is encouraged throughout the program.
*All are welcome to apply with preference given to Native Hawaiian Kamalei.
